Pole Dancing for Jesus

The group of church-going women say they're embracing the dance moves once reserved for strip clubs.

They call it Pole Fitness for Jesus.

The Best Shape of Your Life Studio in Old Town Spring, Texas holds the classes set to Christian music the second Sunday of each month.

Instructors and students say it's not about sex, but connecting with God.

"I do feel a spiritual connection whenever you have the music on, and it's singing about lifting you up and being closer to God. You do feel that," Tiffany Booth said.

"People who want to sit there and judge it, you know, like well that is sacrilegious or you know. That doesn't make you a good Christian when you judge other people," Crystal Dean said.

The classes are for ladies who take in their church pamphlets, and they're free.

The instructor says she doesn't want to make a profit on God's day.
