Your chance to name a new school in Merced

Proposed names with an explanation of why the name is appropriate, and well suited to the school as a Merced area community focal point of learning and activities should be submitted to "V. Scott Scambray, Superintendent, 3430 "A" Street, Atwater, CA 95301" by April 15, 2011. Proposals must include the name and contact information of the sender. The School District selection committee will choose up to eight of the best names proposed and send them to the full Board of Trustees to choose a name in May 2011. The finalist will be asked to make a presentation to the School Board regarding the name they propose for the school.
