The Darling International Plant is located at Belgravia and Teilman.
West Fresno residents gathered outside of the rendering plant yesterday asking the city to enforce operation permits and regulations. Protesters say Darling has not updated its conditional use permits even though the plant is processing more animal remains than when it first opened in 1947.
Darling International issued a statement to Action News Thursday saying it operates its facility with all necessary federal, state and local permits -- including a valid conditional use permit.
