Police responded to the fire at North Diana and Dakota just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday. They found a fire in the garage that was spreading to the attic.
When fire fighters entered the home they found three pit bull dogs. Two of the dogs were barricaded into a bedroom -- they weren't hurt. The other received burns. Crews had to use their hoses to keep it away.
The owner wasn't home at the time of the fire, but investigators say the cause appears to be from an electrical meter that was bypassed.
