The popular corn, sold at the school's farm market, is a hit when it goes on sale every summer.
And for the past few years, they've sold more than 400,000 ears of corn.
Now, fans of the crop have a chance to win free corn as part of a contest.
Participants just need to guess the date the corn will be picked, delivered and sold.
Officials are offering a big clue to help: the first corn of the season is expected to be picked between June 1 and June 15.
Guesses need to be emailed to the school.
Participants must send an email to Ganesan Srinivasan, director of the University Agricultural Laboratory, at gsrinivasan@csufresno.edu by Friday, May 27, with the subject line: Arrival of first corn: _____.
After the first corn is at the Gibson Farm Market, winners will receive a $2 coupon via email, good through Aug. 31 for six ears of corn. They must print out the coupon and original email to get their free corn.
