It happened in the parking lot of Ewells Place on Shaw near Marks around one Saturday morning.
Investigators say the 30 year old victim was trying to leave the bar after a fight broke out there. But the man was shot in the shoulder after he got into a car.
Officers found him about a mile away at Bullard and Marks. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives are still interviewing witnesses and trying to determine how many people were involved in the shooting.
They don't believe it was gang-related.
