Yahoo's former C.E.O. is not happy about the way she was let go, and she is letting everyone know about it. Carol Bartz was fired over the phone by the company chairman on Tuesday, and she decided not to go quietly. She informed the entire company about it in an email.
Bartz was hired by Yahoo in 2009, but the Sunnyvale-based internet company was unable to increase its revenue under her leadership.
In an email to company staff, Bartz wrote, "I am very sad to tell you that I've just been fired over the phone by Yahoo's Chairman of the Board. It has been my pleasure to work with all of you and I wish you only the best going forward."
Yahoo has named its Chief Financial Officer Tim Morse as its interim C.E.O.
Many etiquette experts are weighing in on this, calling her firing by phone tacky and inappropriate.
