Officers say they tried to pull over the driver after he was spotted going the wrong way in the south bound lanes of Highway 41. He caused three drivers along Highway 41 to lose control of their cars. One at the Jensen on-ramp, another the at Van Ness ramp, and a third at the Highway 180 interchange.
Joseph Bianchi with the Highway Patrol said all three collisions were relatively minor and there were no major injuries.
Highway Patrol officers say they believe the driver had been drinking.
