Fresno County offering low-cost flu vaccinations

FRESNO, Calif.

The Fresno County Department of Public Health has scheduled influenza vaccination clinics throughout the county.

A clinic was held Wednesday at the senior citizen village on Chestnut near Butler in Southeast Fresno.

It's recommended that everyone six months of age and older be vaccinated every year because a person's immunity drops by as much as 50 percent 6 to 12 months after vaccination.

Another clinic will be held tomorrow at the Fresno Retired Teachers Education Center from 2 to 4 p.m.

The address is 3930 E. Saginaw Way.

The cost is $4, and MediCal for children and Medicare are both accepted.
