Friday night the Fresno County Sheriff's Office announced the arrests of a 17 year old boy and his 35 year old mother. She's now been identified as /*Gina Valdez*/. Authorities released this picture of her overnight. Valdez is accused of being an accessory after the crime.

Deputies are not releasing her son's identity because he's a minor, but they say the two suspects lived within walking distance of Miller's San Joaquin home.

Sheriff Margaret Mims says the teen confronted Miller and her 63 year old daughter after breaking into their house. "He entered the home to commit a robbery, with an intention to steal property when he fired the shot that injured Marcella he left without taking any property."

Sheriff Mims also said the teen was hospitalized after he tried to commit suicide in jail.

Once he's released from the hospital, he'll be charged with attempted murder, home invasion robbery and felony elder abuse.
