This little black cat is Tommaso. When its owner died two weeks ago at the age of 94, she left it a $13 million, including cash and properties in Rome and Milan.
The owner did not have any children, and when her health began to fail two years ago, she wanted to make sure Tommaso was properly taken care of when she died. So her nurse will now be caring for the feline.
Tommaso's windfall puts him in the number three spot on the list of wealthy pets.
Kalu the chimp received $80 million when his owner died, and a German shepherd named Gunther the IV inherited $372 million from his father when he died.
