Two pairs of twin Holstein calves - quadruplets - were born at the Zuppan Dairy last month in Glenn County.
The four young calves are full of energy, and their birth is really a statistical marvel.
The odds of a cow giving birth to four calves is about one in 700-hundred, but the odds of four female calves being born and all of them surviving is one in 179 million.
"I couldn't believe my eyes. I just kept looking and looking and looking. I finally came to the conclusion there were four new babies from one cow," Michael Karle of Mid-Valley Vet Hospital said.
The calves should be ready to produce milk for the dairy in about two years.
