While the disease poses no threat to human health, it can cause serious economic damage to the citrus industry.

This is the first time the disease has been discovered in Texas, although it has been seen in Florida, Africa, Asia and South America.

Honeybee populations have been in decline for years, and now Purdue University scientists say they may know why.

Researchers analyzed bees found dead in and around hives over two years.

They found the bees all had high levels of an insecticide used during crop planting.

But researchers say the insecticide isn't the only problem facing bees, which are very important for pollinating food crops and wild plants.
