Friday morning in a Fresno County courtroom /*Jarred Dubois*/ changed his plea to no contest. His attorney said /*Dubois*/ made that choice because he wants the matter to be over.
Dubois is charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition. He pleaded guilty to a felony in June after his two-year-old son found a loaded gun in their home. The boy accidentally killed his six-year-old half-sister, /*Emily Lavender*/.
Dubois will be sentenced in February. He could serve up to 3 years in jail.
