The team plans to aggressively locate, arrest and prosecute child sexual predators and enforce registration laws, by partnering with organizations like the US Marshals Service, US Attorney's Office and Fresno Unified.

Chief Jerry Dyer said, "We know that many of our youth that are victims of child molest often times are fearful to bring that information forth to law enforcement, and it's our desire to make sure they have a voice."

Right now, there are 1650 sex offenders living in the city of Fresno. The police department says educating the public is key and it plans to work with elementary schools to create an early-detection program and give parents and students the resources they need to report incidents of sexual abuse.
