Pastor Jesus Quintanilla with the Visalia Salvation Army said, "I never think we're going to be violated in that way and so I was really surprised I was really surprised I wasn't expecting that."
Sgt. Amy Watkins said, "An operation like the Salvation Army this is a sad deal because the operation of a Salvation Army is to truly help those that are in need and down on their luck."
Visalia Police say a large, dark-colored SUV and a light-colored, full-size truck were used in the theft.
