Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White said that as of Saturday evening the more than 300 people who were aboard Asiana Flight 214 had been located at either hospitals or the airport.
Earlier Saturday, Hayes-White had reported that authorities did not know where "upwards of 60" people were after the crash.
She says the confusion stemmed from survivors being brought from the wreckage from two different locations.

At Fresno Yosemite International Airport, witness accounts are still coming about the Plane that crashed at San Francisco International Airport Including one from an Oakhurst woman who was onboard a Fresno flight that landed in San Francisco just moments before the crash.
Cathleen Jones was shaken up because just minutes after her flight touched down she and other passengers on board started seeing smoke shoot up into the sky. The crash landing in San Francisco is causing delays and even cancellations at Fresno Yosemite International Airport.
Jones and her fellow passengers were taxing in San Francisco International Airport when, through their windows, they saw a burning plane.
"It just looked like the plane was ready to explode. You couldn't see the fuselage. It was covered in dark black smoke at the end of the runway," Jones said. " We saw the chute come out of the side of the plane so we knew there were some people alive on the plane to have to deploy the chute."
When Action News spoke with Jones San Francisco International Airport was shut down with no incoming or outgoing flights. That caused a ripple effect here at Fresno Yosemite Airport. Several flights were delayed and at least two were canceled.
An airport spokesperson says an American Airlines flight headed from Dallas to San Francisco was rerouted to Fresno. Workers at Fresno Yosemite International Airport remain on standby.
"So today we were ready to accept any aircraft that needed to come to Fresno as a result of San Francisco's ground stop." said Vikkie Calderon from the Fresno Yosemite International Airport.
Kelsey weeks was headed to San Francisco and spent Saturday trying to find another flight.
" They told me at this point they were receiving mixed messages where they were saying some of the flights will end up leaving but depending on who they were talking to they would say some of the flights were canceled," said Weeks.
If you are planning to fly to San Francisco Saturday you are being asked to contact your airline and find out whether your flights is delayed.
