FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities say an overnight house fire in Central Fresno resulted in paramedics treating one firefighter. It happened at Manor Avenue and Saginaw Way a little after 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Investigators say the fire appears to have started on the patio. It then worked its way into the attic. A firefighter injured his neck when a piece of sheetrock fell on him. He was treated and released at the scene.
The family of four inside the home at the time heard the smoke detectors and was able to escape without injury. The fire caused about $50,000 in damage.
