New donut shop wows with wild recipes

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new donut shop in northwest Fresno is offering customers unique variations on the classic treat.

None of those classic flavors can be found at Donut Fantasy. Owners of the shop, at Bullard and West Avenues, take pride in the creative donuts they prepare every single day, and each flavor comes with a fun name.

The "fluffernutter" is a raised yeast donut with marshmallows and peanut butter. "When pigs fly" is a bar with maple icing topped with bacon pieces. "The chipper" has chocolate icing and is topped with potato chips, and they also have one with Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

"Fresno doesn't have a place like that a lot of the major cities do," owner Nick Hamby said. "And they're doing well, and I think Fresno needs one."

Their favorite and most popular is the "Flamin' Cheeto," which has vanilla icing and you guessed it: Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
