Fresno Calif. (KFSN) -- New bowling alley "Bowlero Fresno" is striking it big with its new retro look.

"It's the vibe that you get from the arcade to the experience to the experience with the lanes to the lighting to the music to every part of the bowling center now is completely revamped," said Kyle Welcher, Bowlero District Manager.

The center has undergone a transformation and doesn't look like former AMF Sierra. The Blackstone Avenue business has been a popular spot for bowlers since the late 80s and now it's in a whole new decade.

Bowlero is filled with colorful lights décor and a brand new full-service bar-also new, the food.

"We're full Gastropub style so what we did is we took the bowling alley of the past and smashed all the rules and brought it into modern day cuisine, Robert Fowler, Bowlero Fresno.

We got a look at what they call "wow" foods from pizza cake to cupcakes, a chi dog, and the monster burger.

The 'behemoth burger' is five pounds of beefy goodness. We do a custom house baked bun right here, from five pounds of ground beef, season it up really nice-- We complete it with bacon lettuce our signature house sauce."

The business has plenty of seating and lounge areas for people. It also has screens that are wall to wall.

"When you come into bowl--It gives you something else to look at. It's a fun entertaining atmosphere, rather than just bowl, you can look at sporting events, videos we show," said Welcher.

Bowlers who want a good game will get a chance to bowl at one of the 48 lanes. Company officials are hoping to take one of America's pastimes into the modern day world with this new bowling venture.

Bowlero Fresno hosts its grand opening Saturday. In the South Valley, you can try your luck at the lanes when they open Visalia on September 23.
