Firefighters battling 500 acre fire in Alameda County

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The blaze broke out around 6 p.m. and quickly grew.

Video from the Alameda County fire department shows the flames near Highway 180 and Grantline Road.

Highway 580 is now closed in both directions near Livermore, to Grant Line Road near Tracy.

The fire is now 20-percent contained.
