Firefighters battle vacant garage blaze in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters battled a blaze that broke out in a vacant Central Fresno garage Sunday morning and kept it from spreading into nearby homes.

The flames destroyed the one garage in an alleyway just behind First Street and started spreading to three connected garages.

Firefighters quickly got a handle of the flames just before 5 a.m.

The other garages did sustain some water damage.
