Cyclist killed in crash in northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A cyclist is dead after a crash in northwest Fresno.

It happened in the area of Shaw and Hayes Avenue around 9 on Thursday night.

Officers arrived to find a man lying in the intersection.

Authorities say the driver returned to the scene and is being cooperative in the investigation.

It's not known if alcohol or speed contributed to the collision.
