FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Kings County is reporting its first case of West Nile virus this year. That's the illness spread by infected mosquitoes.

The patient is identified only as a young man living in Hanford. According to the Kings County Health Department, he has the neuroinvasive form of West Wile, which is the worst type of infection.

So far, 93 human cases of West Nile have been reported in California this year, including two fatalities in Sacramento and Shasta counties.
