Lunch Break: Sansei Japanese Restaurant

REEDLEY, Calif. (KFSN) -- We asked you on Facebook where the best sushi in Central California is and the majority answered Sansei Japanese Restaurant.

This popular Reedley restaurant says that their fresh fish and homemade sauces make their sushi stand out from the rest.

For over a decade, the Simmavong family says they have been dedicated to serving their customers gourmet Japanese cuisine.

"We're at work more than we're at home. We just sleep, shower and sleep; and do it all over again. And we've done that for 14 years" says Nikk Simmavong, manager of Sansei Japanese Restaurant.

"It's one of the best Japanese places I like to come and eat. Especially since it's right here in Reedley. Lunch time, we're here all the time. Cheap, too. And the sushi - amazing" said one happy customer enjoying lunch with his coworkers.

Alec and Chad tried two of their most popular sushi rolls.

"You can definitely taste that it's fresh. It's a light taste to it", Chad explained while tasting the signature Sansei Roll.

Alec tried the Cougar Roll: deep-fried shrimp, crab, cream cheese and homemade sauce toppings. "It's really yummy. Good stuff", Alec said.
