Fire burns 80 acres near Mendota Wildlife Refuge

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters battled a wind-whipped fire east of Mendota on Wednesday night. Cal Fire says the so-called Bridge Fire burned 80 acres near the Mendota Wildlife Refuge area.

Crews remained on the scene late into the night to eliminate hot spots. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
