FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A pilot managed to safely land his plane at Chandler Airport in Fresno when his aircraft's engine lost power.
Fresno police say the distress call came into the Fresno Yosemite International Airport tower just before 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Investigators say the pilot was able to get to Chandler -- but ran out of runway and crashed into the fence on Whitesbridge Avenue.
Police believe the pilot survived because of experience.
