Wildfire closes Highway 41 near Oakhurst

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fire crew responded to, what was reported as, a large fire on Deadwood Mountain south of Oakhurst on Sunday night.

Authorities forward progress of the fire was stopped after it burned about an acre of land. No structures were damaged.

California Highway Patrol said both lanes of Highway 41 were closed near Road 425C as crews worked to mop up the fire. The highway is expected to open sometime Sunday night.
