Paul McCartney tickets sell out in hours
Tickets to see the former Beatle live at the Save Mart Center went on sale Monday and sold out before noon.

Paul McCartney is launching his One On One tour in Fresno next month. Tickets to see the former Beatle live at the Save Mart Center went on sale Monday and sold out before noon.

Dozens of fans woke up dark and early to secure their shot at getting a seat to a Fresno first-- Sir Paul McCartney is playing the Save Mart Center April 13th. The 21 time Grammy award winner and former Beatle will kick off his tour in the Central Valley. Fresno is one of 6 stops on the North American leg of the tour-- not to mention California's only. Needless to say, it's the hottest ticket in town. "We're doing it because it's Paul McCartney," said Cindy Smith, McCartney fan. "Opportunity of a lifetime," Smith added.

"We saw the rolling stones when they were here, that was our biggest deal but never any Beatles," said Dennis Wajckus, McCartney fan.

Carrie Sager has seen him twice already. "He's well worth any dime. I'm going for the cheap seats this time."

She had no idea Save Mart was using a lottery system to sell tickets. So her spot in the back of the line didn't mean she was last to buy. "Wow, that's great! I might have a better chance," said Sager.

Tickets went on sale at 10:00 Monday morning. From 8:30 to 9:15 tickets to determine the order of sale were handed out. "With a little luck," these die-hard fans waited for tickets the old fashioned way. Some prepared to brave the wet weather and others were not. As for the early birds. "Well, considering we were the first ones here, you know, I guess we have to go with it. At four in the morning. This is the number one ticket right here," said James Casey, Fan.

The tickets that started at $68 are now double or more on secondary sale sites like Stub Hub.
