FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A busy intersection in East Central Fresno is back open after an overnight shooting ended in a crash.
Police say two men were shot in their truck after some type of altercation with another car while at a red light on Clovis and Shields.
Both men, in their late teens or twenties, were struck by bullets, causing the driver to crash into another car.
The shooters sped off from the scene and are still unaccounted for this morning.
Officers say the victims are being treated for serious injuries.
"One victim received at least three gunshot wounds to the upper body including one through the neck, so they are obviously in a life-threatening status at this point," says Fresno Police Lt. Anthony Dewall.
The second victim suffered at least one gunshot wound to the chest area.
Officers say no other injuries were reported.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from a nearby gas station this morning.
