Finding the perfect Halloween costume
Halloween is just a couple days away, and many are scrambling for that perfect costume.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Halloween is just a couple days away, and many are scrambling for that perfect costume.



Retail experts say this year, a record number of Americans will spend cash on costumes the spooky holiday.



Disney's Frozen and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costumes will take over the streets this Halloween as parents gear up to dress their children in the well-known characters.

Adults will be stick to traditional options like witches, animals or batman characters. The National Retail Federation's top costumes survey also found that Fluffy and Fido will most certainly be playing along this Halloween as well. Consumers will celebrate the holiday in many different ways, but topping the list of planned activities is handing out candy (71.1%), while others will decorate their homes and yards (46.7%), and dress in costume (45.8%). One-third of Americans will be throw or attend a party (33.4%), which is up from last year (30.9%).



More than two-thirds of Americans will buying Halloween costumes this year. Total spending for the holiday on costumes, decorations, candy and more is estimated at $7.4 billion according to the National Retail Federation.
