Man rescued from Central Fresno canal

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is safe after being pulled from a Central Fresno canal.

It happened just before 2 a.m. in the area of Sixth and McKinley.

No word on how the person ended up in the water.

Police say two people who were passing by helped get the man on dry land before they arrived.

Other than being cold and wet, we understand he was otherwise not hurt in the fall.
