Woman killed in Southeast Fresno shooting identified

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Coroner's Office has identified a woman found shot to death over the weekend.

Investigators say Josefina Alvarez, 51, died of a gunshot wound to the upper body. She was found early Saturday morning at a home in the area of Fifth Street near Butler Avenue in Southeast Fresno.

Authorities say they are still working to identify possible suspects and determine a motive.
