World Series odds: Yankees reclaim role as favorites

The Los Angeles Dodgersopened the season as favorites to win the World Series and finished the regular season season that way. The Dodgers had opened at +550, moved to +450 after signing Shohei Ohtani in the offseason and now sit at +425 at ESPN BET after a complete thrashing at the hands of theSan Diego Padresin Game 2 of the NLDS.

Once again the New York Yankeeshold top honors of being the World Series favorites as they prepare for their ALDS Game 2 battle with theKansas City Royals. The team finds itself at +250 to celebrate with champagne come November.

ThePhiladelphia Phillies(+425) are back to being the NL favorites after holding off the tenaciousNew York Metsin Game 2 of the NLDS to even that best-of-five series 1-1.

Game 2 for both American League series take place on Monday. It is an off day for the National League teams, with those series resuming on Tuesday.
