Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano was placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday because of a right lower leg stress reaction, the team announced.
He sat out Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers because of right shin soreness and had an MRI exam.
Laureano is batting .284 with 21 home runs, 58 RBIs and 12 stolen bases this season for the Athletics.
He told reporters that his leg injury started with the season-opening series in March against the Seattle Mariners in Japan. Laureano said the turf at Tokyo Dome affected his leg.
