Man hit and killed by train in Merced

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Investigators say a man was hit by a train at D Street and 16th Street in Merced.

The train was blocking traffic in the area from G Street to D Street for several hours on Wednesday morning. However, the train is now out of the area and traffic is moving freely.

Investigators are still looking into the incident. At this time, they are not releasing any details.
