FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Investigators with the Tulare Police Department have made an arrest in the city's first homicide of the year.

Alfonso Hernandez, 33, was arrested in Long Beach on Saturday. He's a suspect in the shooting and killing of Benjamin Cosio, 46. The victim was found dead in the roadway near Alpine Avenue and Peggy Street on Wednesday.

Hernandez was brought back to the Valley and booked into the Tulare County Jail on suspicion of homicide.
