Multiple pets killed in house fire in Visalia, officials say

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Multiple pets have died following a house fire in Visalia late Tuesday night.

Fire officials say the flames broke out at a home on West Tulare Street just after 10 pm.

When fire crews arrived, they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the front of the house.

Two people were able to escape safely, but several of their pets died in the fire.

Crews were able to control the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
