Police investigating after 1 shot in Visalia

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person was hospitalized after being shot in Visalia on Sunday night.

Visalia police officers were called to Buena Vista and Liberty near Ruiz Park around 8 pm.

Investigators believe the shooting happened during a drug deal. The victim was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery.

There is no word on a possible suspect at this time.
