Iraqi Elections Held Sunday

Baghdad, Iraq The Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki ("mal-uh-key") cast his vote early Sunday. Al Maliki said the elections were going well and so far no fraud had been reported. Security was tight as Iraqis cast their ballots.

Several security measures were implemented, including traffic bans in central Baghdad and several border crossings were closed.

The voting covers 14 of Iraq's 18 provinces and is open to about 15-million eligible voters more than 14,000 candidates are vying for just 440 seats.
