National Parks Waive Entrance Fees

Hundreds of national parks, including several here in the Valley will be open for free over the weekend.Saturday, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park is waiving its entrance fees. It's part of "National Public Lands Day" which celebrates volunteerism on public lands.

Volunteers over the weekend will work with staff to re-vegetate some areas. Yosemite National Park is also participating in the event.

About two-thousand volunteers will help remove trash from park roadways and trails, and clean up after a busy summer season.
