Hundreds of people gathered at a Fresno church to remember and celebrate the lives of three state workers killed in a helicopter crash in Madera County.
Co-workers shared stories about Clu Cotter, Tom Stolberg, and Kevin O'Conner. They died when their helicopter hit a high voltage power line and crashed near Redinger Lake in Eastern Madera County.
The pilot, Dennis Donovan, also died in the crash. Family and friends talked about the victim's love of wildlife and their work to protect California's natural resources.
The National Safety Board is still investigating the cause of the accident. In the meantime, all helicopters used by the Department of Fish and Game have been grounded indefinitely.
