Investigators with the Ontario Police Department say a police service weapon was found in the victim's car and quickly led authorities to Orban as a suspect.
Ontario Police say Orban and Jelinek allegedly approached the woman as she was getting into her car in the Ontario Mills parking lot Saturday afternoon.
Lt. John Evans with the Ontario Police Department says, "Orban produced a handgun and forced her to drive to an area in Fontana."
According to police, Jelinek remained in the parking lot as Orban ordered the woman, who lives in San Bernardino, to stop in the area of Base Line Road and the 15 Freeway. Police say the woman was attacked after she stopped the car.
The 25-year-old victim told police Orban walked away after the attack and that she got out of her car and walked to a nearby business where she called Fontana police to report the incident.
Fontana officers responded and determined that the investigation should be handled by Ontario police since the incident started there.
According to Lt. Evans, Ontario police met with Orban and Jelinek to take a report, but felt that the officers' statements were "inconsistent and suspicious."
Orban and Jelinek were arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
Orban was booked on suspicion of rape by force or violence while acting in accordance with another person, carjacking and kidnapping, according to sheriff's booking records. Jelinek was booked on suspicion of carjacking and acting as an accessory to a crime after the fact, according to booking records.
Ontario police say "based on the violent manner that Orban and Jelinek used to carry out this crime, detectives are concerned that there may be other victims that police are not aware of."
