Sanger Home Invasion

FRESNO, Calif. The woman was home alone. She was pushed to the floor and hit her head she was not seriously hurt but pretended to be unconscious and used her cell phone to call police while the two men went through the house.

Sgt. Floyd Sanders of the Sanger Police Department is investigating the incident. "We were dispatched to a call of a possible home invasion robbery we got here, located the victim began canvassing the area for any possible suspects or evidence."

Sgt. Sanders says police responded within three minutes of the call, but the invaders were long gone and it did not appear that anything was taken from the home.

The incident upset the entire neighborhood.

"We are all just totally shocked. This just doesn't happen. We have the beautiful, perfect all American neighborhood. This just doesn't happen." Said neighbor Mike Webber.

Police say they have little to go on. They don't have a good description, and don't know if they were in a vehicle.

Neighbors were asked to think of anything suspicious. Isaac Alvarez lives two doors down from the victims home.

"Yesterday in the morning some guys were around the neighborhood going door to door we're not sure if that has anything to do with the case, but they were just acting like they were lost." He said.

Police say home invasions are not common in Sanger, and this home and the senior couple who live here do not fit the profile of the typical victims in cases like this.

That's little comfort to neighbor Mike Webber.

"Well, I guarantee you, we're all going to be keeping an eye each other very close." He said.
