Fresno State students celebrate birth control mandate

FRESNO, Calif.

In an effort to highlight the cost savings, they gathered at the Free Speech area on Friday with 2,500 cups of ramen soup in tow. Their aim, to educate fellow students on the new health policy.

"It's kinda to show if women didn't have to pay a co-pay for their birth control they could save an average of $600 per year, and that money could go to other places like food," said student and president of Power Celestine Digaur.

Two student organizations organized Friday's event.
