Cards to fallen Yarnell Hotshot's families

Some local women married to Hotshots have organized a way to express condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the Yarnell fire.

Leah Grace and Kristi Haines are part of a group of women who are collecting cards from the public to send to Arizona. They said when they heard about the fire and the hotshots who died, it really hit home.

"When our husbands get that call their bags are already packed. They pack up immediately and they walk out that door. And you never know for sure if they're coming back. It definitely hits very close to home," said Kristi Haines, organizer.

The group will be located on Pollasky between 3rd and 4th on Friday during the Farmer's Market in Old Town Clovis. They will have craft supplies there so you can write a card to send, or you can bring one from home.

They will also be collecting monetary donations that will go to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation which helps families of firefighters in need.
