Amber Alert canceled for 5-year-old Lemoore girl taken from home

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- An Amber Alert was canceled for a five-year-old taken from her South Valley home.

Aaliyah Gomez was found safe Monday morning after being dropped off with family members in Temecula. The suspect, identified as Julio Gomez, is still outstanding according to authorities.

The Highway Patrol said Aaliyah was taken from her home in Lemoore Sunday and had issued an Amber Alert for Riverside County after receiving information the girl was being taken to Mexico.

Although the young girl and the suspect share the same last name, police have not said how they are related.
