Envelope labeled anthrax sent to San Diego paper

San Diego, CA, USA San Diego City Fire Department spokesman Maurice Luque (loo-KAY') says a hazardous materials team is examining the package that was opened Wednesday afternoon by a news assistant.

Luque says similar envelopes have been mailed to other media outlets around the country. He says the powdery substance was attached to a CD containing a picture of former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
