San Jose police said the person in the car was a woman and she is being transported to the hospital in critical condition. The train is now one mile north from where it hit the vehicle. About 100 people were onboard the 4-to-5 car train.
Bus bridges have been set up and passengers have been unloaded.
Two other trains out of Gilroy have been canceled - #221 and #227.
