Vehicle Crashes into Fresno Well-House after Chase

Fresno, CA The chase started at Ashlan near Van Ness around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. But it ended up about a mile away at a pump well-house for the City of Fresno.

The driver crashed into the building.

Officers said the driver tried to run from the scene, but police quickly caught up with him. The crash did cause a small concern because of chlorine leaking from the well-house.

"There is a small leak of chlorine. But the leak is not strong enough. But the leak is not strong enough to affect the neighbors here. We're also advising all the neighbors in the area," said John Alvarado with the Fresno Sheriff's Department.

The 28-year-old suspect is now facing charges for driving under the influence. He also has a previous warrant out of his arrest.
